Who played a large role in this project that you’d like to recognize?

The Homeless Garden Project Team

The inspiring crew of the Homeless Garden Project in Santa Cruz, CA, have shown us at EV the secret sauce to a robust and healing transitional employment program for humans and the earth alike.

Note: This photo was taken during our 3-day site tour of their garden project in Santa Cruz, CA. It includes staff from HGP, staff + residents from Everyone Village, a graduate student from UCSC Santa Cruz, and myself.

Plaedo

Everyone Village site lead and staff extraordinaire–has been working tirelessly to help co-facilitate the Everyone Village (EV) garden club.

Gabe

Everyone Village director and master multitasker–has continually welcomed and celebrated my contributions to the village. He has also been a champion supporter of our garden club!

Everyone Village Residents

The EV residents bring their knowledge, creativity, and care to each and every garden meeting. This work would not have been possible without their dedicated participation and enthusiasm.

UO Landscape for Humanity

Thank you to professors Yekang Ko and Kory Russell for connecting me with the opportunity to work with Everyone Village and for your support and mentorship along the way.

Friends + Family

Thank you to all the friends and family members who supported me through this project and helped me make it through that crazy experience they call graduate school.

Landscape Architecture Program Cohort

Thank you to my program cohort. I’ve learned so much from all of you and this project is in part a reflection of the great work you all have done!

Note: This was a film photo I took on my 31st birthday when we were all learning virtually due to the COVID19 pandemic.
